What information is used and why

Browsing: the hosting and network providers receive technical information, such as your IP address and requested page, to deliver and protect the website. This supports our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure site.
Enquiries and bookings: when you email, we receive your email address and what you choose to send. We use this to respond to your enquiry, take steps towards a booking you request, or manage an agreed booking. The basis is taking steps towards or performing a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to general enquiries.
Newsletter and free downloads: the sign-up link takes you to Kit, which collects the details you submit there, including your email address. Newsletter marketing is based on your consent. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or contact us.
Purchases: the shop link takes you to Square checkout. Square processes payment information; this website does not collect card details. Order and delivery information is used to fulfil purchases and handle customer enquiries, on the basis of performing a contract and meeting applicable legal obligations.
Optional analytics: if you select “Allow optional analytics”, Metricool is loaded to measure website visits. This may involve technical visit information such as IP address, page URL, referrer and browser/device information. Our basis for enabling this optional measurement is your consent. Matomo is not installed on this website.

Your analytics choice

Metricool is not loaded before you allow optional analytics. Rejecting it does not affect access to the music or the website. Use “Privacy settings” in the footer to change your choice. Rejecting analytics after previously allowing it reloads the page to stop the tracker. It does not erase information already received by the analytics provider.

The site stores your choice and its date in your browser under floriane-analytics-consent-v1 for up to 180 days, then asks again. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice applies only to the current page. The intro also uses a session preference, floriane-entered, after you enter or skip, so it need not repeat in the same tab. Neither preference is used for advertising.

Services and external links

The site is hosted through ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare. Its fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives a connection from your browser. Kit handles newsletter sign-ups; Square handles checkout; Metricool handles optional website analytics. Social profile links open the corresponding platforms. Those services have their own privacy notices and settings.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Their privacy information describes processing locations and applicable transfer arrangements. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.

How long information is kept

The browser preference periods are described above. For enquiries, subscriptions, bookings and orders, retention depends on whether the enquiry or service is ongoing, your subscription choices, and any applicable accounting, legal or dispute-handling requirements. Provider records are also subject to their account settings and retention arrangements. Contact us to ask about a particular record or to request deletion.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, object to processing, and withdraw consent.
